Surf Life Saving - Sydney Northern Beaches

As the Northern Beaches major water safety and rescue organisation, our primary role is to save lives. Our 21 Clubs from Manly to North Palm Beach have achieved another successful season with no lives lost under our watch.  More than 5000 volunteers patrol our beaches every weekend and public holidays for the season from September to the end of April.

An important part of our essential support service is provided from the  Surfcom radio room based at Fisherman’s Beach, Long Reef. Recently we expanded our Rescue Water Craft service and now have a service based at Freshwater as well as Mona Vale and North Palm Beach, which ensures headland to headland coverage from Broken Bay to North Head.

SLSSNB also operates a 24/7 after hours call out system in conjunction with Surf LIfe Saving NSW and have a number of Duty Officers on standby to respond to after hour incidents throughout the year.
