As part of the Australian Surf Life Saving Championships 2021, SLSA will provide limited financial assistance to states, who will in turn assist clubs with the transport of their equipment to and from the Championships.
The subsidy will be provided to clubs, through Surf Life Saving NSW, to assist in transporting the following gear and equipment to The Australian Surf Life Saving Championships 2021:
• Surf skis
• Double surf skis
• Surf boats
• Surf reels
• Boards (racing boards, surfboards, long boards, and rescue boards)
Clubs are to submit their number of transported gear and equipment to SLSNSW by Friday 03 September 2021. By Completing the following Survey-

CALCULATION OF THE SUBSIDY
Following the completion of The Australian Surf Life Saving Championships 2021, SLSA will provide to each Club a small subsidy based on the number of craft used, weight and length as a percentage of their State’s allocation. To assist in the process, clubs are requested to submit their number of transported gear and equipment to each SLSNSW by Friday 03 September 2021.
QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Q: Will the subsidy cover the total cost of transporting gear and equipment to the Sunshine Coast?
A: No. The subsidy is intended to contribute towards to a small portion of the club’s costs. It will not cover entire transport costs.
Q: How will craft numbers from my Club be determined?
A: It will be the number of gear and equipment transported to the Sunshine Coast by each club. This means if one board is being used by three different competitors, only one board has been transported so only one board will contribute to the amount received by the club.
Q: Do I have to calculate the subsidy allocation for my Club?
A: No. SLSA will collate via SLSNSW the number of gear and equipment transported to the Championships to work through the calculations nationally.
Q: Do I need to produce a tax invoice to receive my Clubs allocation?
A: Yes. SLSNSW will distribute the amount once the allocations have been confirmed. Your club is to provide a tax invoice (which shows the club’s ABN) for the amount (plus GST). Please provide bank details (BSB and Account Number) if EFT payment is possible
