Beach Safety Equipment Fund (BSEF)

The Beach Safety Equipment Fund (BSEF) for 2022/23 has now been finalised and released, all information is included in the attached Circular and Gear and Equipment List, these documents have been uploaded to the SLSA Member Area.

Please note and consider the following important information:

  • Increased to $10,000/year until 2024/25
  • Extended eligibility period for 2022/23 from 1 April 2022 to 31 August 2023
    • This will cause a cross-over of eligibility periods (similar to last season) between 1 May 23 and 31 Aug 23
    • Inclusion of future year funding key dates to 2024/25
  • Update to Approved Gear and Equipment List
    • Additions:
      • INHALO Medical Oxygen, Cylinder (Hire) though local BOC Gases stores
      • PPE for Emergency Response Groups – note to confirm requirements with respective state/territory
      • Achilles IRBs (re-instated)
    • Information on discontinued or superseded products included within Circular
