Covid-19 Information

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Updated – 21st September 2022

The below information reflects the current Public Health Orders and the recent updates to the SLSNSW Covid 19 Vaccination Policy.

COVID Safe Measures include the below, noting that there may be times where emergency service workers will not be able to implement these measures.

  • Increased cleaning and sanitisation
  • Restrictions on group sizes
  • Physical distancing
  • QR code check-ins
  • Masks
  • Temperature checks

The below advice should always be communicated to all members participating in SLS activities.

Do not attend any SLS activities if:

  1. The current Public Health Order does not permit attendance or participation in that activity
  2. You feel unwell
  3. You have tested positive for COVID-19 – follow the health advice and  wait until you have been given medical clearance to attend again

The Australian Department of Health recommends using the Healthdirect Coronavirus (COVID-19) Symptom Checker to answer questions about symptoms to see if you or someone needs to seek medical help or get tested.

The Surf Life Saving NSW Board has revised its position in regard to the current SLSNSW COVID-19 Vaccination Policy.  The new policy position is to strongly recommend and encourage full vaccination and booster status.

The required administrative and governance arrangements have been made to reflect the change and the new policy is effective from 19th September 2022.
