EOI – Emergency Management Courses.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation the scheduled course dates as previously outlined have been postponed. SLSNSW will still be accepting applications until the previous advertised due date, Being Sunday 18th July 2021 at 5pm. Once new dates have been confirmed for the the training courses we will be in contact with proposed successful applicants to find out their availability. 

Background 

SLSNSW have been offered 4 positions at upcoming Emergency Management Courses being held at the Marine Area Command, Balmain. There will be two courses on offer – Introduction to Emergency Management and Emergency Operations Centre Concepts. 

Both courses will be a great opportunity for those selected to increase their knowledge in regards to emergency management but also is a great way to get a better understanding of the Marine Area Command and Marine Rescue NSW who will have members attending the course. 

Eligibility 

SLSNSW is now seeking members/staff who fit into the following groups: 

  • NSW State Duty Officer (Staff) 
  • NSW State Duty Officer (volunteer) 
  • NSW Lifesaving Standing Committee Member (volunteer) 
  • Branch Duty Officer (volunteer) 

SLSNSW will be accepting 3 volunteers and 1 staff from the above groups. SLSNSW will cover the cost of any travel and accommodation required for successful applicants to attend these courses. Availability to attend on all of the outlined dates is a pre-requisite when applying.
