Arthur McCarroll – North Steyne Surf Life Saving Club
Arthur joined North Steyne Surf Life Saving Club in 1966 and gained his Bronze Medallion the following year in 1967.
Arthur has held numerous Club positions including ClubTreasurer from 1991 to 1994, Chief Instructor from 1974 to 1976, Club Captain from 1975 to 1977, Vice President from 1975 to 1977 and then again in the 1990/1991 season, Club President from 1977 to 1989, a period of 12 years.
Arthur was named Club Man of the Year in the 1975 and then again in 1988. He received a North Steyne Surf Life Saving Club Distinguished Service award 1989 and Life Membership 1983.
Arthur joined Manly Warringah Board of Examiners 1978/1979 season, held the position of Branch Competition and Carnival Director from 1980 to 1983. He was part of the Branch instructional team to the Philippines in 1978 and 1981 and was involved in organising Branch congress in 1979, State Centre Congress in 1980 and SLSA World Lifesaving in 1983. Arthur was awarded SLSSNB Life Membership in 2009
Arthur was awarded SNB Life Membership in 2009.
