Gary Beauchamp – Dee Why SLSC
Gary has been a member of Dee Why since 1990, having completed his bronze medallion in 2002. Garys dedication to his club and his branch has been an inspiration to many, having served as a branch scrutineer since 2005, a Branch Facilitator since 1999 and since 2002 has filled the role of the advanced resuscitation supervisor. through these roles Gary has been involved in the initial coordination and pilot programs within SLS on the use of the defibrillator, a lasting impact from Garys many years of service.
Gary has held many positions both at a club level and at the branch level such as the Advanced Life Support Advisor, a role that he has held for the majority of the last 10 years, the emergency services officer from 1999 to 2003 and was a member of the SNB emergency after hours call out team from 1996-2003 Gary has also been a prominent member of the SNB critical incident stress management team since 1998, a group of support members who’s job it is to support club members at any level who are involved in critical incidents while undertaking Surf life saving duties.
Having received the prominent service award from Dee Why SLSC in 2001 and the branch distinguished service award in 2006, Gary has also received numerous letters of commendations from community groups from his involvement in many first aid and resuscitation program. Gary was honoured with his induction onto the SNB life membership in 2010.
Gary was awarded SNB Life Membership in 2010.
