Jennifer Drury – South Curl Curl SLSC
Jenny originally joined North Narrabeen SLSC in 1978 and remained a member there until 1985. Jenny carried out numerous roles during her time at North Narrabeen before joining North Palm Beach SLSC in 1971 where she attained her Bronze Medallion in 1994. Jenny was Club Secretary at North Palm Beach from 1992 until 1995. In 1999 Jenny joined South Curl Curl SLSC where she held the role of Assistant Secretary from 2003 until 2008, Competition Manager from 2010 to 2012 and Administration Manager from 2015.
Jenny joined the Board of Examiners in 1984 and was an extremely active member assisting members with their duties for over 25 years. She was appointed to the role of Branch Executive Officer in 1985 and held that position until 2003 when she was appointed CEO. Jenny has been and still is a Boat Official at Branch, State and National.
She was awarded SLSNSW Administrator of the Year in 1998, Distinguished Service for Branch in 1999, Life Membership of Branch in 2006, Life Member of Surf Life Saving NSW in 2015 and also awarded a Certificate of Recognition by Federal Government for ‘Year of the Volunteer’ in 2001.
Jenny has be an active Surf Sports Official since 1991 and is a Level 2 Accredited Surf Sports Official officiating at numerous IRB carnivals as well as Branch, State and Australian Championship carnivals throughout the year. As an Official, Jenny has progressed from being an area recorder to being the first female surf sports official in SNB Branch to be appointed as a Carnival referee. She is well known and respected by generations of competitors in the Boat arena. Jenny was also involved in the formation of the Branch Traumatic Incident Peer Support team (TIPS). This team has been in operation for over 25 years and provides counselling and support for Club patrolling members experiencing traumatic incidents.
Jenny has been involved with many levels of the Association for over 40 years.
Jennifer was awarded SNB Life Membership in 2006.
