Jonathan Farrell – Collaroy SLSC
Jonathan joined Collaroy Surf Life Saving Club in 1966 and joined the Surf Life Saving Sydney Northern Beaches Board of Examiners in 1969.
In late 1960’s Jonathan worked with Hector MacDonald OAM in researching the techniques of mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and he formed one of the first Jet Surf Rescue groups at Fisherman’s Beach. Jonathan toured South Africa in 1999 with the Surf Life Saving New South Wales Instructor Team.
Jonathan has gained numerous awards throughout his career. He joined the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Crew in 1973 and was awarded Most Outstanding Crewman in 1974/75, awarded Collaroy Surf Life Saving Club Distinguished Service Award in 1995/96, awarded Life Membership of Collaroy Surf Life Saving Club in 2000/01, awarded Surf Life Saving Sydney Northern Beaches Distinguished Service in 2004/2005 and Surf Life Saving Sydney Northern Beaches Life Membership in 2008.
Jonathan has served Surf Life Saving for over 55 years
Jonathon was awarded SNB Life Membership in 2008.
