Lindsay Davis – Freshwater SLSC

Lindsay joined Freshwater SLSC back in 1985. Throughout her years of membership with the club she has held a collection of roles over the past 35 plus years including: Executive Officer, Club Captain, Gear Steward, First Aid Officer, Club Trainer, Registrar, Lifesaving Competition Captain, Club Coach, Branch Assessor and Facilitator, Surf Sports Official and Chief Training Officer. Lindsay was also an active member of the Branch Board of Examiners.

 

Over many years, Lindsay has overseen the growth of the Club’s Lifesaving Competition section. From a couple of competitors to multiple teams who have won numerous medals at Branch, State and Australian levels. She was awarded Club Life Membership in 2003 and was also the first female to receive this honour at Freshwater SLSC. Lindsay received Trainer of the Year back in 2012 from SLSA. She has also received the 10 Year Assessing Service Award and the 25 Year Long Service Award. Her Branch honours include SNB Distinguished Service in 2009, SNB Trainer of the Year in 2010 and then becoming an SNB Life Member back in 2015. Currently Lindsay is the Director of Education for Freshwater and will continue this role into the coming season (2022/23).

 


Lindsay was awarded SNB Life Membership in 2015.
