Peter O’Dwyer – Freshwater SLSC
Peter is a member of the Freshwater SLSC joining in 1968-69.
Since Peter’s early involvement with the Junior Activities of Freshwater SLSC, he has been involved in many facets of Surf Life Saving within the Branch. Peter was a driving force behind the safety and education aspects of Junior Activities and was involved in the introduction of female members to Junior Activities in 1978-79.
Apart from holding many positions with the Freshwater Juniors over the years, Peter has held various Junior Branch positions including Carnival Organiser for Branch and Metropolitan and State Championships, Carnival Referee at Branch and Metropolitan Championships, Interbranch Team Selector and Manager, Deputy Superintendent of the Branch and Life Member of the Branch Board of Junior Activities.
Peter was Chairman of the Sydney Northern Beaches Board of Junior Activities and had held this position from the 1989-90 season. In more recent years Peter has been instrumental in obtaining ongoing sponsorship for the 21 Clubs within Branch. The Branch is proud to honour Peter with Life Membership.
Peter was awarded SNB Life Membership in 1998.
