Ray Isaacs

Ray Isaacs – Collaroy SLSC

Ray Isaac joined the Collaroy SLSC in 1972 and has since held various key positions within the club. He served as Race Secretary  from 1976-78, and as Chief Instructor in 1988.  As an active patroller, Ray took on the role of patrol captain starting in 1988.

Ray’s outstanding contributions to the club have earned him several recognitions, including being named the Most Improved Member in 1987 and the Most Outstanding Member and Patrol Captain in 1988.  Ray has also served as the IRB Captain during the 1992-1993 season, and received SNB Life Membership in 2014. 

Sharing a long-standing passion for March Past, Ray was a member of the Collaroy Championship March Past Team from 1986 – 2002.  To this day, he remains actively involved as one of the March Past advisers to the board of surf sports, always seeking ways to enhance this historic and traditional aspect of surf life saving.  

 


Ray was awarded SNB Life Membership in 2014.
