Robert Berry – Whale Beach SLSC
Robert joined Grange Surf Life Saving Club in South Australia in 1957, and gained his Bronze Medallion in 1957/58 season.
Robert was Club President for 3 years and has been a patrolling member for 65 years and still patrols. Rob has been the Club Publicity Officer for 42 years and is a Life Member of Whale Beach Surf Life Saving Club. He has been awarded the 25 Year National Patrol Service Award, 50 Year Long Service Award and Surf Life Saving Sydney Northern Beaches Distinguished Service award with Surf Life Saving Sydney Northern Beaches Life Membership awarded to Rob in 2010.
His contribution includes developing young members and training those members for competition. Rob has been involved in the organisation of the annual Palm Beach to Whale Beach open swim for the events 35 year history.
Robert was awarded SNB Life Membership in 2010.
