Tony Hilliger – North Narrabeen Surf Life Saving Club
Tony joined Mona Vale SLSC back in 1973 and has showed his passion and commitment to the club over the years which can been seen through his awards for 25, 30 & 40 Year Long Service Award.
From 1983 – 1990 Tony was a Member on the SNB Board of Examiners. He was a Bronze Examiner from 2012 and was also an active Surf Sports Official until 2022. He was one of SNBs most experienced officials who knew everything like the back of his hand. Tony would go above and beyond in this area by regularly visiting clubs and assisting them with education sessions for new officials undertaking the course.
Over the years Tony has dedicated countless volunteer hours to numerous clubs. This in turn has assisted Branch and Clubs to meet officials’ quotas for carnivals and has also helped to engage more families with the wider apart of the SLS Community. Tony was the Director of Finance from 2018-2022 and as we know from the pandemic, 2020 was not the best of years. Through that time Tony was instrumental in steering and helping the branch through that tough period.
Tony was awarded SNB Life Membership in 2021.
