Tracey Hare-Boyd – North Steyne SLSC
It is clear Tracey’s service over the past 14 years has certainly been sustained, conspicuous and exceptional. Commencing at North Steyne SLSC back in 2006, Tracey spent 4 years on the Board of Directors, 2 of which were as the first Female Club President. Tracey then held many committee positions during this time across a number of portfolios including as an Age Manager, Registrar, Nippers Committee, Secretary, Nippers Committee, Administration Director, Chief Training Officer, Club President, Assistant Chief Training Officer, Patrol Captain and Patrol Captain Mentor.
As Tracey moved across to roles at the SNB Branch and Support Operation she continued to support her club by patrolling her beach and logging staggering patrol hours along with being a Duty Officer and SurfCom Member each season. Tracey became committed to various roles across numerous portfolios including as Member Services Director in 2013, Advancing to Deputy President and then Acting President for 6 months prior to properly moving into the Branch President role in 2020.
Tracey has received numerous awards for her outstanding service. This includes Volunteer of the Year, the Harry Ragan Outstanding Service Award, Training Officer of the Year, Assessor of the Year, Outstanding Service Honours Award, Patrol Captain of the Year, High Commendation Lifesaver of the Year and Branch Community Education Program of the Year. These awards are a true reflection of her commitment to the movement.
The amount of time and effort that Tracey has dedicated to her main Branch President role is exceptional. Noting that is role is voluntary she still commits more than 40 hours a week to get the job done. This is an added addition to her already giving her time to Club, State and National levels.
Tracey is an outstanding leader, role model, mentor, and inspiration to all club members. It is for these reasons why Tracey is such an outstanding individual.
Tracey was awarded SNB Life Membership in 2021.
