As the Northern Beaches major water safety and rescue organisation, our primary role is to save lives. Our 21 Clubs from Manly to North Palm Beach have achieved another successful season with no lives lost under our watch. More than 5000 volunteers patrol our beaches every weekend and public holidays for the season from September to the end of April.
The Board of Lifesaving is the controlling body for all lifesaving and support operations. The Board meets several times a year to determine lifesaving policy and direction.
The Director of Lifesaving convenes the Board. The 21 Club Captains, Duty Officers and Advisors in specialties such as Radio, Power Craft and Emergency Services make up the Board.
Club Captains / Directors of Lifesaving are encouraged to refer to the SNB Lifesaving Guide for Clubs v8 which outlines information that is specific to our Branch.
