The 2021-2022 Surf Sport Season is scheduled to kick off on the weekend of November 13th. With the recent release of the NSW Government 80% Roadmap, we are able to hold carnivals based on the following key parameters –
- event participation numbers are limited to 1,000 in total
- all participants that are over 16 years of age must be Fully Vaccinated (Covid-19)
Based on this roadmap and the associated Public Health Orders that will be released in due course, we can now look to start the season.
The carnival calendar has been revised and is available now on the SLSSNB Surf Sports Calendar page – please refer to this page for ongoing updates throughout the season.
The carnival calendar is also available on the SLSSNB Surf Sports Team App – make sure you join the Team App group on your mobile device for regular updates. We have set up a Chat room in Team App for you to ask questions about the season kick off.

Surf Life Saving Sydney Northern Beaches (SLSSNB) holds a large number of carnivals throughout the season culminating with the SLSSNB Branch Championships before the State and Australian Championships.
All clubs interested in hosting a carnival should contact the Surf Sports Manager at the Branch Office by May for the following season.
SLSSNB has developed a various formats for carnivals to complement our traditional carnivals and host Junior, Senior and Masters carnivals in all disciplines including beach, water, boats and lifesaving events.
