If you are interested in becoming an Surf Sports official for the 2026/27 season, we have scheduled three training sessions:
Freshwater – Sunday 13 September, 8:00am to 11:00am: Register
Queenscliff – Sunday 27 September, 8:00am to 11:00am: Register
SNB Branch Office – Sunday 11 October, 8:00am to 11:00am: Register
Please encourage your members to register for the session that best suits them using the registration links above.
To become a Technical Official, you will need a free volunteer Working With Children Check. This can be arranged after completing the course; however, it must be in place before officiating at your first carnival.
You will also need to complete two online learning modules via the SLS Hub:
- SLS – Technical Official (under the Officiating section)
- SLS – Child Safe Awareness (under Safety and Wellbeing)
Time will be allocated during the Officiating Course to complete these modules, but you are welcome to start them beforehand. Please remember to save or print your certificates (a PDF copy is fine), as uploading or providing these is often necessary to trigger the completion the system.
