How was the Club Formed: On Tuesday, 15 January 1924, W.G. Simmonds called a public meeting at Warton’s TeaRooms on the corner of Pine Street and North Steyne. Thirty people attended, each paying a subscription fee of £80. This meeting was the birth of the Queenscliff Surf Life Saving Club.

Formation Date:                  On 13 February 1924, theClub’s formal rules were adopted, and on 25 February 1924, red and royal blue were chosen as the club colours.
