David Murray – North Curl Curl SLSC
Since 1993, David Murray has been an active patrolling member at North Curl Curl SLSC, serving in various roles such as Patrol Captain, Vice Captain, Training Officer, RWC Operator, Deputy President and Club President.
His dedication and expertise have further extended to the SNB Branch, where he has held the positions of Deputy President and President. Additionally, David served as the Surf Life Saving NSW President from March 2016 to March 2019, and was a SLSA Councillor during that period.
David’s leadership skills have led to significant achievements, such as spearheading a small team to secure a major upgrade at Surfcom headquarters, obtaining a long-term lease for the surf rescue radio building at Fishermans Beach from Northern Beaches Council.
He also played an instrumental role in integrating club’s junior activities under the Branch Board of Youth and Membership Development, establishing a strategic review committee to evaluate Branch services and implementing a constitution restructure.
David was awarded SNB Life Membership in 2021.
