Gregory MacMahon – Collaroy Surf Life Saving Club
Greg Initially joined the Branch Board of Examiners in 1993 as a Bronze
Medallion Parts 1, 2 and 3 Assessor as they were known in those days.
For 30 years he has been a consistently active and dedicated Trainer and
Assessor within the Branch over many other awards including Advanced Resuscitation, Defibrillation, IRB and Spinal Management.
Greg is an avid mentor to all, encouraging other club members to become involved in Branch Education and Assessment programs and improve their knowledge and skills through the various pathways available – himself holding over 130 awards
In 1992 he was a member of the Branch Organising Committee for the National Titles at Narrabeen and in 1999 he was a member of the Colnarra State Titles Organising Committee.
A Member of the Branch First Aid Surf Team and affectionately known as ‘Uncle Scrooge’ as he managed to co-opt and inspire quite a number of younger members to broaden and develop their skills both on the beach and in first aid competition.
Gregory was awarded SNB Life Membership in 2022
