Ray Vincent Petersen – Manly Life Saving Club
Ray joined Manly Life Saving Club 1970 and gained his Bronze Medallion in 1971. He has held numerous positions at the Manly Club over the past 50 years.
Ray joined Manly Warringah Board of Examiners in 1983, was a member of Surf Life Saving Australia History Panel from 1996 to 2000 and a Member of the Surf Life Saving New South Wales History Panel from 2000.
Ray is a Level 2 Accredited Surf Coach, was a representative for Surf Life Saving New South Wales State team in 1991 and Australian Representative for trans-Tasman South African Test in 1992.
Ray has been awarded the Surf Life Saving Australia 30 years Long Service award and was awarded the Australian Sports Medal in 2000.
Has given over 50 years of service to surf lifesaving through Manly Life Saving Club, Branch, State and Australia.
Ray was honoured with Life Membership of Manly Life Saving Club in 2000 and Surf Life Saving Sydney Northern Beaches in 2009.
Ray was awarded SNB Life Membership in 2009.
