Graham Cook – Narrabeen Beach SLSC
Graham became a member of the Narrabeen SLSC in 1986, and since then he has dedicated himself to be an active patroller every season. His dedication to the club is evident through the many through the many positions he has held, including IRB Captain, Chief Instructor, Board & Ski captain and Vice President. Alongside his active patrolling role at Narrabeen, Graham often supports others patrols, mentoring younger patrol captains and assisting with their beach training.
Graham’s contributions extend beyond the club to the branch level. He served as a Duty Officer from 2007 until 2013, and has been an active member of the Board of Examiners, conducting numerous assessments over the years.
In recognition of his remarkable commitment, Graham was honoured with the SNB Assessor of the Year, and SNB Volunteer of the Year awards in 2011. He has also received the 20, 25, and 30 Year National Patrol Service Awards, as well as the 30 Year Long Service Award, and the prestigious National Medal 1st Clasps 25 Years in 2021 from Surf Life Saving Australia. Despite these accolades, Graham remains a humble role model for all patrolling lifesavers on the Northern Beaches.
Graham was awarded SNB Life Membership in 2015.
