Graham Cook

Graham Cook – Narrabeen Beach SLSC

Graham join Narrabeen Beach SLSC back in 1986, since then he has patrolled every season from when he first joined. His contribution to Narrabeen varies from the many positions he has held such as IRB Captain, Chief Instructor, Board & Ski Captain and Vice President. Whilst also being an active patrolling member for Narrabeen he will often try and mix in with other patrols to help mentor younger patrolling captains and assist with their beach training.

His contribution to branch also includes the time he gave as a Duty Officer from 2007 until 2013 when he had to stand down from the position. Graham has also been a part of the Board of Examiners and has completed numerous assessments over the years for Branch.

For his overwhelming involvement Graham was awarded SNB Assessor of the Year and SNB Volunteer of the Year in 2011. He has also been awarded the 20, 25 & 30 Year National Patrol Service Award along with the 30 Year Long Service Award and then the National Medal 1st Clasps 25 Years in 2021 from SLSA. Even with all these awards Graham still chooses to stay and continue to be a role model for all patrolling lifesavers on the Northern Beaches.

Graham was awarded SNB Life Membership in 2015.
