Gain your Surf Life Saving Bronze Medallion, a worldwide recognised qualification in a 4 day intensive course. This is the ultimate course for those wishing to become a Surf Lifesaver.
Begin to develop a high level of skill through training for your Surf Life Saving Bronze medallion. The Bronze Medallion is the core award for active surf lifesavers. There is also the opportunity for successful candidates to complete a Certificate 11 in Public Safety (Aquatic Rescue) by joining a local surf club for voluntary patrolling.
Training sessions are designed to ‘test’ a persons competency in a variety of areas, as seen below. The training is done to the highest standard using both practical and theoretical components.
All skills taught in this course combine to help the candidate become an essential member of the surf life saving team.
You must be 15 years and over on the date of your examination to qualify for the award.
Successful candidates that are still in secondary school can also use this qualification as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Award.
